Help! All this political mudslinging is making me nauseous (and no, I'm not pregnant again)!
It's just awful this year...I think it's much worse than it was 4 years ago.
I'm so torn on who to vote for this year...makes me not want to vote at all.
Why can't there be a candidate that I agree with everything they stand for 100%? No such thing will ever exist, sadly.
I want Jesus to be president. He would be the PERFECT leader for this country!
I don't trust anyone anymore to run our country.
I don't feel like voting for McCain or Obama now...
Sarah Palin seems like a great woman. But she's a mom!! Her kids need her more than anything right now. She does NOT need a job like VP (possibly Prez in the future?) which will take away virtually ALL of her time with her kids. She has a 17 year old pregnant daughter who needs the support of her mother...where else is she going to get that support from when Mom's working all the time? She has a 5 month old baby with Down's Syndrome, who needs Mommy more than anything to thrive. It's not fair to her children. She should NOT be running for VP. I don't think I could vote for them because I'd feel guilty, and it's not even my fault that her kids won't have their mother around much!
John McCain is shady to me. He called Palin is "soul-mate". Hello, you JUST met the woman, AND you already have a wife (who could also be your daughter!) who SHOULD be your soul-mate. Crazy old man!!
Barack Obama...I like where he stands on alot of issues, but can we truly trust him? I hate what I've been hearing about him regarding abortion.
I am 100% pro-life...I don't know how anyone could think the killing of innocent babies is OK. Yes, I know it's about the "Mother's choice"..."It's her body", etc... What if I "chose" to suddenly murder my daughter because she just wasn't convenient anymore. What's the difference? Being inside my body or outside of my body? There is no difference. Either way she is my baby, and my ONLY responsibility is to keep her alive and healthy. It's the responsibility of every mother to keep her babies alive and to care for them. There is no choice in the matter! The mom had a choice when she decided to have sex! Unless she was raped...even then though, if there's a baby in her body, her responsibility is to give this innocent baby life! A baby should not have to pay for the sins of it's father. If she doesn't want the baby, no matter the case, there are plenty of infertile couples out there just dying to be parents and will gladly raise that baby in a loving family that it deserves.
Adoption is just too hard for people. Maybe the government should worry about making adoption easier and more affordable for couples that want to adopt (after a thorough mental screening of course). Maybe the government should close down all abortion clinics and open up pregnancy crisis centers when pregnant mothers who do not want their babies can go for counseling and help...where they can work with social workers who can make it easier for them to give their babies up for adoption. Did anyone ever think of that? Not only will we then be saving the lives of thousands of babies, but we'll also be sparing thousands of mothers severe emotional turmoil that women experience post-abortion. THat is one step we could take to make this nation a bit healthier.
But will we ever see a presidential candidate with ideas like this? If you know of one, let me know so I can vote for them.
I'm just going to pray! Pray that God would be in control and put the right person in the White House. And pray that He would help me know who to vote for.
